Pursuing God 3
In Matthew 22:37 Jesus said the first and greatest commandment was to love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind. Jesus was saying that our first order of business is a passionate pursuit of God. During the Sundays of August we are going to examine the critical elements of that pursuit and hopefully come away with a deeper, more focused and renewed relationship with God the Father and a closer resemblance to Jesus, His Son.
I hope you can join me either in person at River Oaks or on-line at the River Oaks web site!
Tim

Good morning Tim. Thank you so much for your message this morning! It spoke to me leaps and bounds. I am truly looking forward to each week with the challenges that you will have not only for me but everyone who claims the name of Jesus!
Just when I think I have the right answers to my questions, you bring up more questions that I need to find answers too. It would have been easy to come forward this morning and take communion but to me thats a big step to take. because I belive you can only do this if you are willing to commit your whole being to him. hopefuly I can and on the 29th of this month I can truly say that I turn my life completely over to him. Because I belive that GOD has a calling for me even at my age and when and if I ever can do this I will find that peace and joy that GOD has waiting for me with open arms. I look forward to this month of studies and GOD BLESS YOU FOR HELPING me find these answers. GOD has blessed you for the work that you are taking on.
Tim,
I too am excited for this series! It is always exciting and humbling to be challenged and asked to examine our hearts and lives and where God fits into them. On a side note, this weekend I am taking the guys from our care group on a camping trip for a little spiritual get away. I am praying that last sundays message was a good spring board for the challenge I am going to offer to all of us guys, concering our relationship with God and our rolls as husbands, dads, and spiritual leaders.
Thanks Tim!
Jeff
