Losing My Religion
Friday, December 4th, 2009
Losing My Religion is the title of a book written by William Lobdell. It is a book that I referenced in a message that I delivered in Agust of this year entitled, “I’m Learning that My Faith will be Tested“. Following the message, I went to Lobdell’s blog and wrote a comment about his book and a link to my sermon. Mr. Lobdell not only listened to my sermon but he posted a very nice comment on his blog! If you want to read what he wrote, go to williamlobdell.com and scroll down the page. I want to thank Bill for his kind words regarding me and encouraging his readers to listen to my message. Bill is an atheist and I am a Christian pastor of an evangelical church and yet we are able to be civil, complementary and nice to each other. I have never met Bill and I doubt I ever will, but I am impressed with his kindness and I only hope that we all will continue to find a ‘common ground of courtesy’ with one another, even though our views of God are very different.
Tim
